1. Operator
Funtoonia is operated by Egységmester Kft., 2330 Dunaharaszti, Gyóni Géza köz 8., Hungary, company reg. no. 13-09-162959, tax no. 24291608-2-13 (EU VAT: HU24291608). Contact: hello@funtoonia.com.
2. The service
A subscription library of educational comics for children aged 4–10, with a digital reader, printable PDF, and photo-free avatar personalisation. Funtoonia is educational entertainment and does not replace school curriculum, professional advice, or parental supervision.
3. Who may use the service — adults only
Only adults (18+) may create an account. You are responsible for your login credentials and for supervising your child's use of the service. Children do not have their own accounts. By registering, you confirm you are 18 or older.
4. Subscription, trial and billing
- 7-day free trial: a payment card is required at sign-up. You will not be charged during the trial.
- After the trial: €12/month, billed automatically until you cancel. This €12 is the final gross price you pay — applicable local VAT/tax is included in this amount, not added on top. Your country's VAT is calculated and remitted by the seller of record, and the VAT breakdown is shown on your Stripe invoice.
- Payments are processed through Stripe Managed Payments. The seller and merchant of record for your purchase is Sold through Link, LLC (a Stripe company), which concludes the sale, charges you, issues your invoice or receipt, and determines and remits any applicable VAT/sales tax. Stripe Payments Europe, Ltd. acts as the payment processor. The subscription renews automatically until cancelled.

- We reserve the right to change prices with reasonable advance notice. You may cancel before any price change takes effect.
5. Acceptable use
Personal, non-commercial household use only. You may not copy, redistribute, resell, sublicense, or publicly share the content, comics, or downloadable PDFs beyond your household. Scraping, reverse-engineering, or automated access is prohibited.
6. Intellectual property
All characters, artwork, stories, scripts, and the Funtoonia brand are owned by the operator or its licensors. You receive a limited, personal, non-transferable, revocable licence to access the content while your subscription is active. No ownership rights are transferred.
7. Availability and content
We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free service. Content is added over time; we do not guarantee the continued availability of specific titles.
8. Limitation of liability (B2C — consumer rights preserved)
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the service. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under mandatory consumer protection law (including EU consumer rights and Hungarian consumer protection rules). Our total liability to you for any direct damages shall not exceed the amounts you paid in the 3 months preceding the claim.
9. Disclaimer of warranties
The service is provided "as is" and "as available". We do not warrant that the service will be error-free or uninterrupted. To the extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties. Statutory consumer guarantees are not affected.
10. Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by Hungarian law and applicable EU consumer law. Disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of Hungarian courts, without prejudice to your right as a consumer to bring proceedings before the courts of your country of residence. The EU Online Dispute Resolution platform is available at https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
11. Changes
We may update the service and these Terms. We will give reasonable advance notice of material changes (by email or in-app notice). Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance. You may cancel before the changes take effect.
